Community banking built on solid ground. On June 26, 1872, thirty-eight prominent Milford citizens who recognized the need for a bank in Milford contributed funds to start a local savings bank. The new bank was formed as a mutual savings institution with no stockholders or other owners. The bank’s purpose was to serve the financial needs of its customers and to serve its community. Those goals have not changed. We’ve earned our reputation by providing quality service, convenience and a wide range of popular products. We continue to innovate to make banking simpler and more financially rewarding, from our newest office on Boston Post Road to our famous 8 to 8 weekday drive-up hours and our feature packed Internet Web Office. We also continue to be a corporate role model for the city of Milford. We pride ourselves on being great neighbors. Over 100 local organizations rely on our financial support throughout the year. In addition, our Trustees, officers and staff contribute their time, talent and experience to many more groups. The world
of banking and financial services is changing rapidly. Individuals and
businesses demand quality service, delivered quickly and conveniently.
All of us at The Milford Bank work hard every day to meet that challenge.
That’s why our loyal customers know, “There’s
no place like hometown banking.”
