Coin Counting Services
Do you have a jar filled with loose coins? If so, we offer a free coin counting service at all of our offices. Just bring in your loose change and deposit it into one of our self-service coin counter machines. As a customer of The Milford Bank, there is no charge to use this service. You can have your children bring in their change too! Safe Deposit Boxes Safe Deposit Boxes offer a secure space to store important or valuable items. Located inside our secure bank environment, under the dual control of a two-key system, the boxes are protected by the same security devices that guard the bank's own assets. For a small annual rental fee you can choose a box in the size that meets your needs and gain access to it during normal banking hours. Safe Deposit Boxes are available in a variety of sizes and are a convenient and inexpensive way to secure your valuable possessions, memories and documents. Contents of safe deposit boxes are not insured by the FDIC but they are safe. You can enjoy peace of mind knowing that without both your key and the bank's key, your box cannot be opened. ID is required at the time of entry and signatures are verified to maintain the utmost security. Self Service Shredder
Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States. One way consumers can help protect themselves is to shred unwanted documents and media. We encourage everyone to stop by our office located at 33 Broad Street and use our self-service, professional strength shredder. In contrast to many shredders used in homes and small businesses, the Self-Service Shredder’s high-level crosscut shredder is significantly quieter, faster, and more secure. You can gain peace of mind by seeing your materials shredded in front of you. For a small fee of $1 you can shred as many documents as you wish for 5 minutes. Money Orders Money Orders are a simple and convenient way to pay a bill or person without using a personal check. For a small fee, Money Orders are available to our customers in any denomination up to $1,000. If you ever need to confirm that a money order was negotiated we can provide you a copy. Traveler’s Cheques For a small fee you can purchase American Express Travelers Cheques at any of our branch offices. American Express Travelers Cheques are recognized worldwide. In the U.S. they can be used like cash at retail locations, hotels and restaurants. Outside the U.S. they can be used like cash at many locations, or exchanged for local currency at banks, currency exchanges, and American Express Travel Service locations. We can assist you in foreign banking when you need it. Foreign Currency Typically the best currency exchange rates are available from banks, compared to airport and border money changers. We offer foreign bank notes (paper money) from more than 100 countries, available to you via overnight or standard two-day delivery. Just stop by any Milford Bank office before your trip. Traveler's Checks in foreign currencies Traveler's Checks can also be secured by The Milford Bank in your destination country's currency. Gain the security and loss protection of Traveler's Checks at a very favorable exchange rate. Enjoy the convenience of arriving "in country" ready to travel with local money. Foreign Currency Drafts These are a reliable means of making foreign payments, allowing you to negotiate in your supplier's currency, thereby maximizing your negotiating advantage. Pay in your vendor's currency without imposing lengthy delays required for your foreign check to clear.
International Wires (or Telegraphic Transfers as they are sometimes called) provide the same benefits as Foreign Currency Drafts, plus the additional advantages of greater speed and fully traceable transactions. Retain funds as long as possible while ensuring the satisfaction of payees.
International Collections
Customers abroad can pay you within their domestic banking systems. Funds are then wired to The Milford Bank for conversion and deposited to your account. Overdraft Privilege Because honest mistakes deserve special consideration. Overdraft Privilege helps protect you against having your checks returned in the event of an inadvertent overdraft of your account by giving you a reserve for emergencies or unexpected situations. There is no fee for having this privilege; you are only charged if you overdraw your account.

No more fear of overspending. No more searching for the nearest ATM. Every time you swipe your card, the amount you have spent is automatically deducted from your account. Enjoy the safety and convenience of cashless shopping! Prefer to just have the ability to access your money at the nearest cash machine? We also offer ATM cards for just that purpose. Holiday Club Ease the expense of holiday spending with a Holiday Club Account. Simply have funds direct dopsited in one of our club accounts each payday. Our club accounts traditionally begin and end in October - however, you can begin a Holiday Club at any time of the year. On or about October 15th, the accumulated funds in your account will be mailed to you. Savings Bonds US government savings bonds designed to offer savers a guaranteed a real rate of return. With Savings Bonds, the protection from loss of value comes from the inflation component of the rate. Unlike municipal or corporate bonds, Savings Bonds do not have an inherent risk of the bond-issuer defaulting. This means that an Savings Bond will always have a real return and there is virtually no risk involved. Reorder your checks on-line You can reorder your checks online through our check printer, Deluxe. Simply enter the appropriate information from your existing Milford Bank checking account -- the same information that appears on the reorder form in your checkbook.
